I thought that all the chatter about Republicans supporting Joe Lieberman was just that, chatter.

Does anyone else find it odd that Redstate would attack the primary challenger of Lieberman?
As a Brit and a liberal, I have always been envious of the American written constitution. You Americans have your freedoms enumerated to you specifically and unambiguously. Governments come and Governments go, you have always rested in comfort that their basic civil liberties would not be put into jeopardy. I have never travelled to America, but I follow your politics closely. One theme that I see repeatedly is the sanctity of the constitution. Politicians constantly refer to their desire to 'protect and defend' the constitution. But recent events have proved to me that this is nothing more than empty rhetoric.
